                    interest to our creative narrative


       Math- we are converting fractions to decimals
                - we are reviewing for our unit test on Thursday April 26

 Religion- we are continuing our Creative Sexual unit

1. Earth Day- Monday April 23: wear blue for oceans and seas
                    - Tuesday April 24 wear green for plants and trees

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This week, we welcome Ms. Julianna Lapelle back to St. Rita. Ms. Lapelle will be working on a reduced schedule and will be sharing the week with me.

Ms. Lapelle will be teaching Language Arts and Math on Mondays and Wednesdays. I will be teaching these subjects on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We will share Fridays.

This week is La Semaine de la Francophonie 2018. There are many exciting events happening.

                 - we are writing a biography sketch together
                  - we are learning how to identify the suffix word and explain how it changes
                    the root word

       Mathwe are learning to represent, compare, and order decimal numbers from 0.01
                  - we are learning to multiply decimal numbers by 10, 100, 1000, and 10 000, 
                    and divide decimal numbers by 10 and 100

Religion - we are learning about the consequences of different solutions to
                     common friendship difficulties
                  - we recognize that some friendship difficulties are normal part of growing up

Forms for the Ski Trip are due January 16, 2018. 

Students in Grades 4, 5, 6 will be able to participate in an outdoor activity at Mount Pakenham, Ontario on Thursday, January 25th. Similar to last year, we will be offering the options of Skiing or W.O.W (Winter Outdoor Wonder- including tubing, snowshoeing and orienteering.
